There are two excellent places to find this information:

  • U.S. Census Bureau is a great place to find the data. Simply enter your zipcode -- you will find population, housing, education, income and more.
  • Social Explorer takes data found in places like the census and visualizes it in map form. You can search by a variety of location variables -- city, zip code, county, etc. Choose what you want to look at and determine your ranges to get a more granular view.

The Enterprise LibGuide, created by RWU librarians, contains marketing and demographic resources for creating a small business plan and may also be a useful resource.
